I am always on the quest for unique and interesting photo spots! From rolling golden hills to interesting playgrounds, I try to keep my eyes peeled for the scene of my next shoot. For me location is an essential part of the photo since it helps me tell a story. In this post, I'd like to share a few my favorite spots I recently discovered for anyone who lives in or is visiting Los Angeles and is looking for some fun spots to take photos. There are 10 locations total included in this photo guide, along with the addresses to get to them and the best times to take photos at each specific location.
This colorful boardwalk is a gem! Make sure to bring at least 3 outfits with you since it has so many pretty nooks and corners and provides a lot of photo ops.

2. Be everywoman mural by Davia King
One of my fave murals in LA area. I mean look at the incredible artwork and the prettiest shade of pink.

3. Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve
These painterly golden hillls will take your breath away and get you in dreamlike state. Photograph your day away in these golden hills and thank me later.
4. Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area
What makes this lake unique is the vintage vibe blue and white lifeguard towers with a stark view of mountains on the background. Best time to photograph is 30 minutes before sunset.

5. Santa Anita Park
Mint green seats are such an eye candy and provides a geometric We Anderson style background for photos.

6. Vincent Lugo Park
Let your creativity go wild in this vintage playground.From Ozzie the Octopus to a cute blue whale this playground such a unique and colorful location for attention grabbing instagram content.

7. Rosemead Skate Park
This might be one of the most photogenic skate parks with this peachy pink half pipes.

8. Huntington Library and Gardens
I like to think this place as Versailles of LA, beautiful, intricate gardens or long avenues of trees interspaced with large mansions and statues.

9. Exposition Rose Gardens
This is absolutely the most stunning rose garden I have ever seen. The grounds are so well maintained and it seems to go on forever.
Also it’s right next to Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County which is also very photogenic.

10. South Broadway Street at DTLA
I love this street for providing a few unique downtown locations in such a small circumference. Orpeheum Theater, United artists, Eastern Colombia lofts with its Art Deco architecture , and Newspaper stand provide timeless city vibes to the photos.
